We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect who is not afraid to join a global digital consulting company focused on building scalable software solutions and products from the ground up.
This is 3-months contract in Dusseldorf, Germany. German language is must have.
The project is for a large telecom operator based in Dusseldorf.
It is possible to extend the contract for long-term cooperation.
Requirements:
• Experience of Infrastructure Data Centre solution/design
• Experience into Data Center (DC) Transformation and Migration solutions on Infrastructure comprising Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Consolidation & DR and applications etc
• A strong consulting skill set. - Work with Consultants and Sales teams in analyzing business requirements and translating them into workable solutions.
• Understanding of multiple solution options that cater to the same need and ability to choose the correct one for the customer context
• Detail and high level designing experience across multiple technologies
Deep understanding on various aspects of technology such as
o Servers (UNIX and Wintel)
o Consolidation and Virtualization
o Storage and backup
o Database (Oracle/SQL/Exadata)
o DR and BCP Solution
Role Description:
• Provide end to end solution document for infrastructure changes and put together a detailed plan of action for all components of an IT data center environment: server, ,storage, backup and recovery.
• Hardware sizing for x86 and Unix servers (Dell, CISCO, HP etc) and storage and backup proposed in the solution.
• Size the migration/consolidation/new build effort required for the solution.
• Preparing the pricing sheet in accordance with the customers input.
• Work closely with OEM Partners to qualify right fit products both from technical and commercial perspective
• Working closely with the customers, business teams, Technical Solutions Architect and Program/ Project Management team, to provide technical solutions
• Initiated pre-sales activities, consulting services and products – Developed projects’ scopes (SOW, scope of work) and prepared proposals.
• Ability to compartmentalize (or normalize) CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operation expenditure) of various projects/programs for presenting data to customer top management
• Ability to present high level ROI (Return on Investment) and Total cost of ownership (TCO) figures to customer senior management during presentation and discussions
